On November 26, 2020, the Regulatory Body has issued its decision D-2020-05-S. An administrative fine of € 762.090 was imposed on Infrabel for infringements of the Rail Code, which were established during the audit assignment regarding the allocation of capacity for the 2020 timetable.
The Regulatory Body decided that 1/3 of the fine is to be paid in full. As extenuating circumstances were taken into account, 2/3rd of the fine is suspended, and this on the condition that Infrabel does not commit another infringement of Title 3, Chapter 4 of the Rail Code within 3 years following the decision. If this condition is violated, the Regulatory Body can decide that the suspension will be withdrawn.
