On June 10, 2020, the Belgian Official Gazette published the Law of May 20, 2020 concerning measures to combat the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic as regards to the administrative fines relating to air transport and air navigation and to the Brussels Airport tariff system.
This Law is based on an advice issued by the Regulatory Body in April. The Regulatory Body was of the opinion that, in the context of the exceptional corona circumstances, there should be legal certainty about the charges of the airport operator, and this in the interest of its users.
The Law extends the current regulated period by one year. During this period, the same tariffs will apply as those that apply from April 1, 2020.
